Visiting my paintings at The Lanesborough Art Programme!

On Monday 22nd August I had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Lanesborough Hotel to see a selection of my paintings on display as part of The Lanesborough Art Programme. The exhibition is based on the theme Botanical and brings a selection of celebratory and artworks in a variety mediums by a select group of talented British based artists.

The exhibition is situated in the dining room, where I got to enjoy a rather decadent afternoon tea, whilst overlooking my paintings. The selection of paintings I have on display include my textiles series, where I experimented with appliqué techniques to create depth and dimension. In addition a completely unique and one-off painting on an oval canvas, which changes the visual and conceptual perceptions of the subject matter. For me all of these paintings were purely experimental, to explore the potentials of my painting practice and how I could use paint to create visual dimension. To have them selected for this exhibition by ArtAcumen was an incredibly pleasant surprise, and the curation of the work together brings my often standalone paintings into harmony.

This was a new experience for me and for my painting practice. It isn’t often you get to see your paintings on display in such a prestigious setting, and it offers the opportunity for exposure to both lovers of art, and those who may not visit galleries in their spare time!

I would highly recommend visiting The Lanesborough Hotel to see this exhibition as there is such a wide variety of stunning paintings to see, and the food is nothing short of delicious!

Check out my page on The Lanesborough’s website!

Also it wouldn’t be very good business from me if I didn’t let you know that all of these paintings are available for purchase!
